Of Him, for Him, from Him, through Him,

In Him, by Him, before Him, to Him;

Of Him we sing; For Him we live;

From Him we have forgiveness.

Through Him is power; In Him redemption;

To Him be glory; Before Him we worship.

-Chorus-

All glory to His name,

All glory to our God Almighty,

All praise belongs to Christ, our Lord;

All for His glory, Amen.

Above Him, no other; Within Him our respite;

In Him we have deliverance.

Near Him, our goodness; With Him forever;

Before Him we bow down; To Him lift our voices.

-Chorus-

All glory to His name,

All glory to our God Almighty,

All praise belongs to Christ, our Lord;

All for His glory, Amen.

Of Him, for Him, from Him, through Him,

In Him, by Him, before Him,

To Him be praise.

Prepositional Praise

    While spending time in Colossians 1, I began to notice all the prepositional phrases referring to Christ especially in verses 16-20. Those little words that we don't pay much attention to become very important words that form phrases that powerfully speak the truth of the centrality of Christ, our all in all, and bring clarity to who the Lord Jesus Christ is.

    Romans 11:36 summarizes the Colossian passage very well. "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen." Even the prepositions praise Him!
